The event, held with the dual purpose of supporting Fukushima vegetable and olive farms while also aiding the victims of the Noto Hanto Earthquake in Ishikawa prefecture, drew in around 30 attendees, predominantly comprising Toyo University students and staff.
Divided into six teams, participants enthusiastically immersed themselves in the art of preparing authentic Syrian dishes. From the sizzle of ARAYIES to the comforting aroma of traditional Syrian soup, and the indulgence of Syrian baklava paired with aromatic transitional coffee, every moment was a celebration of culinary diversity and shared humanity.
Under the guidance of the esteemed Nejima sensei, whose light-hearted humor set a relaxed tone, and the expertise of Ms. Almas, who skillfully led participants through the intricacies of Syrian cuisine, the atmosphere brimmed with joy and camaraderie, all facilitated smoothly by Dr. Hussam's adept organization.
Beyond the culinary delights, the event also served as a poignant opportunity to contribute to a noble cause. Profits from the evening were generously donated to aid the victims of the Noto Hanto Earthquake, amplifying the spirit of compassion and solidarity that permeated throughout the gathering.
