In a moment when everything fell silent except for the roar of bombing, Malak Ahmad Muhammad Al-Sabra was found — a tiny infant, just two months old, the sole survivor of her entire family after their home in the Sabra neighborhood of Khan Younis was destroyed.

Her parents, relatives, neighbors — all perished. But Allah willed that she lives. A compassionate nurse from the Red Crescent found her, lifted her from the debris, and with a court's guardianship, took her into her care and heart. She gave her a name and a new beginning.

Today, Malak Al-Sabra carries more than a name — She carries the story of a nation, the grief of a people, and the hope that rose from ashes.
