Türkiye & Syria Earthquake relief fund

In February 2023, a series of powerful earthquakes struck southern Turkey and northern Syria, including a 7.8-magnitude quake — one of the strongest the region has seen in over a century.

  • Tens of thousands of lives lost

  • Millions displaced from their homes

  • Entire neighborhoods reduced to rubble

For Syria, where many communities were already struggling after years of conflict and hardship, the devastation was especially overwhelming. Families who had little to begin with suddenly had nothing — no homes, no safety, no stability.

When the devastating earthquakes struck Turkey and Syria, Syrian Hands & Japan Islamic Trust launched an emergency relief campaign to support families who lost everything. Thanks to your incredible generosity, we’ve been able to make a real and lasting impact.

Together, we’ve turned compassion into action.

Funds Raised

  • 2023: 13,100,340

  • 2024: 9,962,700

  • Total: 23,063,040

Achievements so far

  • Emergency shelter, food, recovery for around 300 families

  • Built a 3-story apartment for 12 displaced families

This incredible achievement is because of you — every donor, supporter, and partner who chose to act in the face of tragedy. Each contribution became a building block of hope, giving families not only a roof over their heads but also the strength to rebuild their lives.

Syrian Hands & Japan Islamic Trusts remains committed to continuing this work, expanding recovery projects, and ensuring that every donation reaches those who need it most.

Together, we are not only rebuilding homes — we are rebuilding lives.
