A Day of Solidarity, Culture, and Humanitarian Action in Tokyo
On April 11, 2026, Syrian Hands, in partnership with Japan Islamic Trust (Otsuka Masjid), proudly participated in "Palestine Festa 2026 – 子どもたちの平和のために (For the Peace of Children)", held at Ikebukuro West Gate Park in Tokyo.
The event brought together local communities, humanitarian organizations, and supporters from across Japan to express solidarity with the people of Palestine while promoting peace, cultural understanding, and humanitarian cooperation.
Sharing Our Mission with the Community
Throughout the festival, our joint booth welcomed a large number of visitors who took time to learn about the humanitarian work of Syrian Hands and Japan Islamic Trust.
Visitors explored a variety of handmade products, cultural items, and information about our ongoing relief programs. The event created valuable opportunities to discuss the challenges faced by vulnerable families in Gaza and to explain how community support in Japan can make a meaningful difference.
The enthusiastic response from visitors and the strong demand for our products made the event both successful and encouraging. Beyond fundraising, Palestine Festa provided an important platform for raising awareness of humanitarian issues and strengthening connections with people who share our commitment to helping those in need.
Supporting Children in Khan Younis
Thanks to the generosity of everyone who visited our booth, the event achieved outstanding results:
Total Sales: ¥334,400
Donations Received: ¥85,733
Total Funds Raised: Approximately ¥420,000
All net proceeds from the event will be dedicated to supporting children in Khan Younis, where many families continue to face displacement, food insecurity, and limited access to essential services.
Every purchase and every donation contributes directly to improving the lives of children affected by ongoing humanitarian challenges.
Building Partnerships Through Community Events
Events such as Palestine Festa demonstrate the importance of collaboration between community organizations, volunteers, and supporters in Japan. By combining cultural exchange with humanitarian fundraising, these initiatives help increase public awareness while generating practical support for vulnerable communities overseas.
Syrian Hands remains committed to participating in community events that promote compassion, mutual understanding, and sustainable humanitarian action.
Our Heartfelt Thanks
We extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who visited our booth, made a purchase, donated, or shared our mission with others.
We also thank Japan Islamic Trust (Otsuka Masjid) for its continued partnership and everyone involved in organizing Palestine Festa 2026. Together, we continue to demonstrate that communities in Japan can play a meaningful role in supporting children and families facing humanitarian crises.
