A Heartwarming Culinary Journey: Reflections on Our Syrian Cooking Class


Last Sunday, our cooking class was full of excitement with 12 of us eager to dive into the world of Syrian cuisine. With the help of Almas Sensei, we embarked on a delicious adventure filled with laughter and learning.

In the kitchen, we worked together like a team, chopping, stirring, and seasoning our way through making a mouthwatering main dish: rice with green beans and beef meat. With Almas Sensei guiding us, we felt confident and capable, making every step of the recipe a breeze. We also whipped up a tasty side dish, sharing tips and tricks along the way.

As the delicious smells filled the air, we couldn't wait to sit down and taste our creations. Gathered around the table, we shared stories, jokes, and enjoyed the food together. The authentic Syrian drinks and sweets added an extra special touch to our meal, making it even more enjoyable.

But the best part? Knowing that our cooking class made a difference. With the money we raised, we were able to sponsor two orphans for a whole month, giving them the care and support they need.

Our cooking class wasn't just about food—it was about coming together, building friendships, and making a positive impact. We can't wait for more cooking adventures together and the chance to change lives through our shared love of food.
